How do YOU pronounce Gnome?

I pronounce it nome like I pronounce GNU as nu. Really trying to pronounce an implied silent G doesn't do it for me.

I just say G-N-U like I say G-U-I, I hate that word gooey.

I always say G-U-I and also used to say G-N-U until I heard RMS call it GaNU at which point I took the only logical course and came up with a third pronunciation.

I say garden gnome as nome, just like the G-nome sound to make it more geeky sounding. =)

I've actually never thought about this. I usually say every letter when I talk about G-N-U

I've never had the opportunity to say it aloud. It must be the crowd I hang out with, not a lot of geeks.

I also call linux ... lin-ux rather than lineux
