    Are you saying the Samsung ML 2525 is fully compatible with GNU/Linux or do you refer to the Samsung ML-2525W?

    Everything seems to work out of the box with 2 minor exceptions:

    1. The display is corrupted with graphical artifacts on boot - http://i49.tinypic.com/4l4l6a.png - but resolves itself after switching resolutions then reverting back. Sometimes requires more than one attempt (have not tested Bumblebee).

    2. The WiFi card stops working and is unable to recover after going into standby.

    Hope this helps!
    OS : Ubuntu 12.04
    Maker : ASUS

    Everything is just fine, but the monitor. As TerryMasters' prob, I often got my monitor be like this http://i.imgur.com/HFksc.png or http://i.imgur.com/5wo55.png

    But it can be solved by maximizing the window, and revert it back (restore). If the error stay still, I just do maximize-restore till it's gone.

    Compaq 610 laptop;
    Ubuntu 10.04 LTS;
    Logitech MK260 wireless keyboard/mouse combo.

    Plugged the Logitech wireless keyboard/mouse combo USB dongle into the laptop and the keyboard and mouse were immediately recognised and operational, no drivers or tweaking required. They just worked 'out of the box'.

    @Raphial Hebert: Everything up to and including 10.10 (apart from 10.04 LTS) has reached end of life and no longer supported. 11.04 only lasts until October. Perhaps not great having a no longer supported release on a server. LTS releases are best and advised for server and production machines.

    I am fully aware that these, below 11.04, are officially unsupported, but I really dislike Unity, and the Gnome desktop on these versions are completely different, making these distros really inconvenient for me, as well as a lot of others I've noticed.

    And the numeric-pad? I also use 10.04 on a Packard Bell I5 desktop, but the numeric-pad just moves the cursor no matter if I press numlock on or off....
    When I log in, the numeric-pad seems to generate the numbers well, but after login, the numeric-pad doesn't work except for moving the cursor.

    Maybe someone has a bright idea what to do???

    @Doctor_Muesli (who no doubt had a healthy breakfast! )

    Never tried the numeric pad. I'll have a go later and let you know.
