amd 1100t hex core at 3,6 ghz (amd phenom II)
    ASUS pcie 240 gb ssd
Seagate platinum 4 terabyte hdd at 7200rpm
    Corsair cx860 watt builder psu

Tested on ubuntu 13.04 and 13.10
No problems, just install the 13.10 beta drivers from amd and do glxinfo| grep render/ OpenGL and the hardware is fine.

    Re: Desktop Hardware Compatibility List.

Hi, does the machine work running 13.10 (or 13.04, 12.04)?

I have a T510 (43494JG) with NVS3100M graphics that crashes using openGL on nouveau and the nvidia driver does not work at all.

    Hi Donut50,
So the minimum FGLRX driver is 13.10? Do you know if it works with the non-beta driver from the ubuntu repository?

    Re: Desktop Hardware Compatibility List.

I currently have tested the system really far on ubuntu 13.10, on ubuntu it should work also, but i had some trouble with letting ubuntu detecing my hardware(the videocard mainly).
The prioritary drivers of AMD will give ubuntu the chance to let the card really stretch his legs.
The beta drivers are performing a little bit better on my feels (dem feels)

(sorry for the late responding time )

    Hello,

    Please Only List
    1)Version Of Ubuntu - ubuntu maverick 10.10
    2)Type Of Hardware - webcamera
    3)Hardware Maker - crypto
4)Hardware Model - W003690- CRYPTO HD WEB CAMERA [TOUCH]

    Code:
    lsusb
Bus 002 Device 005: ID 058f:3841 Alcor Micro Corp.
worked without any driver, just plugged it in
    all resolutions (till HD) available

configurations of the webcam, while using skype, were made using this post:

    Re: Desktop Hardware Compatibility List.

    1)Version Of Ubuntu
    Lubuntu 13.10 for AMD 64
    2)Type Of Hardware
AMD Athlon 64 3500+ / 2.2 GHz, ATI-Radeon Xpress 200 video (onboard, as provided), RAM upgraded to 2 Gb
    3)Hardware Maker
    Emachines
    4)Hardware Model
    T6524

Would have tried Ubuntu 12.04.3 LTS, but the DVD reader is dead, and I was unable to solve bugs with thumb drive boot. Lubuntu fits on a CD, so, it 'won'.
Dual boot with Windows XP is working fine.

Hibernate does not work. Monitor shuts off, cpu/box does not. I have to hard-reset it to get it out of this state. I think this issue is reported/known for the AMD 64 version.

Edit 2014/04/23: Automatic update to Lubuntu 14.04 went well. I tried Hibernate. It is now disabled, so it's an improvement over the previous version.

I have been testing multiple platforms with the newest distribution of Ubuntu Linux and the best line of platforms is the Hewlett Packard line.

    Re: Desktop Hardware Compatibility List.

    ASUS P4P800-VM (BIOS works 100%)
Pentium 4 HT 3.0GHz (HT works good, a little bit on the slow side sometimes)
GeForce FX 5200 (using latest propetiary drivers, sometimes a little bit of graphics glitches)
    1.5GB DDR RAM
20GB Matrox hard drive (not much space, so you can't dual-boot but it works fine)

And most if not all is well used original 2003 hardware.

Edit 2017-05-25: For Buntu 16.04 there is another solution.

    = = = = =
A lot of advice on Canon Pixmas exist, but the quality of said advice varies a lot.

    Here's a guide for a Pixma MP610 (and similar printers) running from a 64 bit Lubuntu 13.10.

Without USB cable attached: Reset the printer on the display.

    Run
    Code:
    sudo apt-get update
    and
    Code:
    sudo apt-get dist-upgrade
just to make sure that everything is up to speed. Reboot as needed.

    After that
    Code:
    sudo add-apt-repository ppa:michael-gruz/canon-trunk
    sudo apt-get update
    sudo apt-get install cnijfilter-mp610series
    Now connect the USB cable.

    Go to System -> Printers

    Click 'add printer'.

Wait a couple of minutes until you see MP610 in the window to the left.

Select the printer and proceed with next, next, next, finish.

Now printing should work and the same goes for Simple Scan, the built-in scanning application in Lubuntu.

Don't use this space for a list of your hardware. It only creates false hits in the search engines.

Hi I am running ubuntu studio 13.10 on a gigabyte ep45-ud3r mother board.
with a q9750 quad core cpu and 4 gig of corsair system memory.
a pci express 2.0 zotec geforce gt630 gpu with 4 gig of memory.
a pci pchdtv 5500 tv card.
    19"kds monitor.
    usb 2.0 epson cx8400 printer/scanner.
sound blaster audigy 2 zs sound card.
    built in intel sound card.
    usb 2.0 card reader.
    hp sata dvd reader.
    sony sata dvd burner.
    sony 3.5 floppy disk.
1tb 7200rpm segate hard drive. ( i have also run 3 80 gig 7200 rpm seagate hard drives at raid 5 untill all three of the drives faild me after about 4 years of use.)
this machine was built around linux compatable hardware but is on the falling edge behind the i3/i5/i7 processors and advancments in usb and sata data speeds.
