    Ubuntu: 9.10 Karmic Koala/Mint 8 Helena
While not installed, 10.04 Lucid Lynx runs just fine from the LiveCD - there was no indications that anything would NOT work.
    Laptop: Toshiba Satellite Pro L300-1CZ
    Specs:
    CPU - Intel Core2 Duo T3200 2GHz
RAM - Upgraded from 1 to 3 Gb, Samsung
    GPU - Intel X4500 HD
Sound - Intel HD Audio controller (module used: snd-hda-intel)
    BIOS - inSyde H2O 1.50
    Ethernet - Wired: Realtek 8101SE & Wireless: Realtek 8187B

    What works: Everything.
Untested: Standby/Hibernate (did NOT work with Mint 7, based on 9.04)

HOWEVER: Exercise caution with kernel updates. I wasn't too careful, installed just about every extra kernel-package (modules-backport, lbm-headers, modules-alsa-backports, etc) and found that wireless went down with kernel versions 2.6.31-15 through -17 - -14 and -19 works just fine. This seems to be related to either backported modules and/or libc-updates. (I'll update this post if I find out in more detail.)

People should submit all their hardware to this website: http://www.ubuntuhcl.org/

that way ubuntu.com can link to that website or this thread can and we then don't have to keep replying here.

    Ubuntu 9.10
    Bluetooth Dongle - USB
    Unknown maker
    Unknown model

I bought this bluetooth dongle on Ebay for less than three dollars from Hong Kong, and it words perfectly. I just wanted to post its compatibility, because I would have liked to had some assurance before I made the purchase. I'm attaching a picture to compare to ebay pictures. There are many sellers selling this unnamed product.

    Kubuntu: 8.04
    Laptop: Gateway M305CRV
    Specs:
    CPU - Intel Pentium 4 M GHz
    RAM - 512mb
    GPU - Intel 852MG
    Sound - AC97
    BIOS - Phoenix 38.01.07
    Ethernet - Wired: Intel 82801DB Pro/100 VE
Note: Laptop would only restart when trying to shutdown.
This was fixed after bios 38.01.07 was installed.
I also initially installed a remastersys 8.04.4 image but screensavers never worked even though I had all the correct programs installed.
I had to install Kubuntu 8.04 from scratch in order to get the video and screensavers to work properly.

    First post, oh boy.

    Ubuntu 9.10 32 bit
    Motherboard: Intel D945GCF
    CPU: Intel Duo Core E2180 @ 2.00GHz
    Ram: 3GB DIMM DDR2 Synchronous 667 MHz (1.5 ns)
Video: Nvidia G96 [GeForce 9400 GT]

Wireless: Zonenet ZEW1605 802.11g Wireless 54Mbps PCI Adapter
Monitor: Sony Bravia 26 inch KDL-26M4000

I just now discovered my CPU was a 64 bit. What's it been, 2 years since I got it?
No major issues on the software side, have compiz fusion installed and working nicely. Am dual-booting with Windows 7 Ultimate.

    1) Ubuntu 9.10 Karmic Koala 32bit
    2) Presentation Remote
    3) Made by Keyspan
    4) Presentation Remote Pro (PR-PRO3)

Works flawlessly in Ubuntu, even if only certified for Windows and Mac.
The forward and backward buttons work with no problem. So does the volume up and down keys. F5 works as desired, as does the black screen button.
There is no problems with the mouse nor any of the mouse keys.

    Also, as a little review
The remote is amazing. Powerful laser pointer, and amazing quality. Definitely recommend it.

    Wireless mouse (laser)

    3)Hardware Maker
    Logitech

    4)Hardware Model

    Details:
Works right out of the box.
Just plug it in. Scroller works like a charm,
and the mouse has very good sensibility, and supposedly you can
use it on a glass table.... if the glass is a certain thickness.
    Very pleased.

After few tweaks (difficult to get something to work if u are new to Linux) every component inside this laptop is working perfect. {I tested also lucid and maybe cos is alpha was crashing a lot (high cpu usage, single application stealing whole ram, graphic problems, sound problems, bottom and top bar sometimes disappear, screen freeze etc)} thats why i will rather stay with karmic.
