you do know that screenlets are made independantly of beryl or compiz ??

(i.e. mods might want to remove "compiz" from the thread title )

It works with beryl and it's not a plugin.....

afaik, RYX, the developer of screenlets wants them to be recognised as a seperate app to compiz and beryl .....
(also, it's misleading )


anywho, screenlets are awsome....

(though i recommend waiting till later versions before trying them )

because (from what i've read) later versions will have source control (i think bzr), a install script (at the moment, you don't actually install them, to use them.....which has it's problems), better support for saving settings, more plugins that have been made by other people since it's initial release, etc

(still early days yet)

(hopefully RYX doesn't mind me saying this )
