Yeah, I'll probably end up going the VMware route also. I had Flash MX installed on my old system, and since there isn't an open source option for Flash animation that's basically my only choice. =/ I read somewhere that Adobe is making the Flash ActionScript language open source though.....

Hope so. And I hope they end up making shockwave for Linux as well.

Hey, I've been using Ubuntu for about a year now..I'm living in West Liberty which is really close to Morehead. I'm worried about if we DID have a real life meeting, if I'd be able to get a ride there..haha. Well, glad I finally posted here on the KY forum.

Hey, my brother wants Linux, but he has a SWL-2300U Wireless Card, which has a Prism2 Chip-set. Any ideas on how to get it to work?

Ok, this has been annoying me. I can't view Webdings or wingdings through Firefox. Anybody have any ideas how to fix this?

Franklin, KY, Simpson County checking in. Been using Ubuntu for one year this month. Still dual boot Win98SE for my Web Studio editor, otherwise, Ubuntu Dapper only. I'm probably the old man of the group. See my Web site for more than you want to know about me and mine, ha. Glad to know I'm not alone with Ubuntu in KY and surrounding states.

Re: What part of Kentucky are you based in?

Heh, my first post here and it's in the Kentucky forum..and there are many more Ubuntu users than what I would have thought from Kentucky. Maybe I think that because of the county I live in...Anyway, I live in Lincoln County (I'm not saying which city, though, not confortable enough).
I've been using Linux (in general) for about 2 years now (most is with Ubuntu). Unfortunately, I wouldn't be able to go to any actual meetings, but I can learn IRC and do it that way.
