Video crashes during install every time

So I had this problem with the herd 1 CD, and I was hoping things would change, but no. Everytime I go through the installation process, I chose my city from the map, and it looks like my video card/drivers crash. the screen goes pink and green, and nothing works. I have to do a hard reset on the computer. It's too bad, cuz I'd really like to help out with the testing! It's done this with both the Ubuntu and Edubuntu 32 bit Live CD.

I think this is a known bug..
Can you get past the scrambled screen by pressing ctrl-alt-F1 and then ctrl-alt-F7?

    Best Regards
