The Ubuntu Forums have grown tremendously over the years. While we regret that we are discontinuing our Other OS Talk category, this gives us an opportunity to help other Linux distributions grow by directing traffic to the websites of these distributions. Here is a list of the official websites for the operating systems that used to have individual forums here. We hope you are able to find further assistance from there. And finally, if you haven't yet found what you are looking for, we suggest you look for information on the DistroWatch website or you might try the multi-distribution LinuxQuestions forum. |

Using the 6th Sense to repair Sabayon 3.26
As some may expect when we really get into tweaking things, we can tend to break things,....that is the beauty of Linux,....we learn as we go along....
I have thus far broken my KDE desktop....and for the last version of Sabayon I repaired this with the Sabayon Live DVD.... This time I broke Beryl.....so I am using the 6th Sense to repair Sabayon 3.26. (below are some screenshots of how to do this) |

That's encouraging, but I could never get Anaconda to work in KDE. It worked fine if I booted in install mode and used whatever it is they use by default (fluxbox, I think).

Must have been 3.25c, because it worked fine just now in 3.26. By the way, I installed again. Now I'm getting error 15 from GRUB for both Windows and Ubuntu (my first two partitions). :/

Re: Using the 6th Sense to repair Sabayon 3.26
Solution: reinstall Ubuntu. Now Windows, Ubuntu and Sabayon work fine.
I can boot but Beryl is a different story. Works fine the first time, crashes from that point on. Last edited by rai4shu2; January 15th, 2007 at 05:40 AM.. |
