Well if you're going for zsnes 1.42
Just go ahead and install from the repo, should hopefully override your old one if I'm not mistaken.
Make sure to remove the config files from ~/.zsnes You can keep your srm (save ram files)
Or if you are sticking with 1.50. Do the command I posted to remove the config. And try launching zsnes

See if it works, or if you have any error messages?
