    Code:
    How much have you donated?
None, I don't have to either. Linux is free there is nothing saying I have to donate to this site.

our theme was never released to the public there you are using it as stolen property. I should also note the images here are not available for use outside this forum. I'm exploring options right now.

    Re: Vbulletin Ubuntu theme

Why can't the theme be open source?

There'd be more improvements and more bugs would be fixed, like the forum switching to full width.

Here's a small part of why: some of the graphics were professionally made and purchased/licensed. We are not free to give those away. The person who made them worked hard and deserves to be paid.

I am so so sorry for copying those pictures.
I have immediately changed all Buttons and Ranks to something else.
I'll keep looking for any other things that I might have missed replacing.
Please let me know if I need to do something else.
I can have the colors of the theme as they are right?
If no, it'd take me sometime to change those.
    Please do notify.

    matthew,

As I have indicated prior, I would be willing to purchase a license for these images, and the forum layout for a reasonable fee.

    Re: Vbulletin Ubuntu theme

Well, this thread has answered one of my queries! One of the reasons I had given up Windows was that it was unbearable for me to live in constant fear of infringing someone's copyright at every step! I thought that things will be different with Ubuntu, but now I understand that I was just being naive!!

As I understand, even here, one can be deemed a thief if he builds a theme resembling the one used here and use it in his own forums. It doesn't matter if the 'accussedl' has build his theme from scratch,or if he is guided by no commercial motives but only his love for promoting Ubuntu!! This must be what the law states , but I am not a Law specialist, so I wouldn't know!!
Its just that I feel like kicking myself hard for living in a fool's paradise where I thought that FREE is REALLY as in FREEDOM in ALL respects!!
