silverlink problems

hi everyone:

i'm having some problems with my silverlink and tilp (a program to manage ti calculators). the silverlink is a usb cable to connect a calculator to pc. and when i try to setup the comunications options in tilp i got an error

Odd timing, I was about to post about problems with BlackLink on tilp...

Have you loaded tiglusb? Or is that only for GrayLink?

As for tilp, I've had zero luck with it on my 83+. Keep replying to this thread (or in PM) if you have an succeses.

may i ask u JonahRowley, how do i load tiglusb module?? i'm not really an expert with kernel stuff. some help may be useful.

i found the answer in the same ubuntu forum. the problem was that tiusb device not exists and it must be created

but if you are to lazy to read the solution is this two command lines:

sudo mknod /dev/tiusb0 c 115 16
sudo chmod 666 /dev/tiusb0
