music download for Linux

I just tried to download some music (via musicload.de) and it refuses to deal with anyone not running Microsoft IE and Windows Media Player.

Can someone tell me what music download service is not so limited?
(mp3 or ogg format, Firefox browser OK).

thanks

ALLOFMP3 is just as trustworthy as anything else. I used their service for a little while, they have a huge selection.

You could check the site(s) Amarok is including in its latest versions. You could also unfortunately trick the site into believing you're on MSIE by changing the user agent. A bad option, but what can you do but complain...

Re: music download for Linux

OK I may give the Russians a try if I cannot find anything else. I wonder if PayPal will work (limits risk to account balance only).

It seems incredible, but the Russians are the only ones I have found so far that do not require Windows (IE, WMP, or a Windows client program).

Is MP3 download support for Linux really so pathetic, or am I just not finding it? I am not looking for free music - I am happy to pay a fair price for it.

So are 10 year old girls, grandmothers, and dead people. Or was your sarcasm meant to refer to RIAA being reputable?

And my suggestion, streamtuner / streamripper.
