Lan game for Xubuntu /Windows play?

I have 2 PC`s at home: one pc with Xubuntu 6.10 (my pc) and one PC with 64bit processor on 32bit WinXP SP2. I will connect those pc`s with udp cable (so it`s local connection) but i dont know what to play here? CS is nice but i dont wana use Wine for that. I will download ut2k4 demo for win and lin but what else to use? I love to play tribal trouble, ut, cs and similar games. Help?

Edit: Also if you want alittle more realism there is a mod called ActionCube http://action.cubers.net/ Im not sure if that is for cube or cube 2. I just found the mod while looking at the site.
