HOWTO: Set up python-libgmail

Ok I ahve installed the package for debian in apt of python-libgmail which lets you use your gmail account as a POP3 e-mail account. So you can use Evolution, Thunderbird, etc... to view your e-mails from gmail accounts. But I don't know what to do once it is installed (not even how to start the gmail service at boot which I've done before in other distros) what steps to take to have it functioning well on Ubuntu. Thats why I made this thread to have a Howto on Libgmail so that anyone can use this wonderfull service. Thanks
