xclock will get window decorations, and though useful, isn't too pretty. I use gdeskcal, which is a pretty calendar that sits on my desktop without gdesklets, I'm searching for something similar for time too.
Gkrellm has an analog clock plugin .. if you use that to monitor resources you can try out the plugin. |

i've resorted to the gdesklets analog clock again.. i'm running gdesklets just for this thing.
