My buddy Tristan over at the Chicago GNU/LUG posted a link tonight from The Register with an article about Microsoft, Novell, and Linux code. It seems that the recent deal with Microsoft and Novell saves the customers, but what about the people who work their asses off making the products those customers have come to know and love?

Well, how about this. Steve Ballmer believes he is owed money for all of our hard work, lets send him the money he is owed.

Nice touch, Sam! How about finding someone in Seattle who we can post the money to (I'd even print my own fake Euros, MS would like that...). The handing over to MS headquarters could well turn out to be a nice little publicity stunt with truck loads of dosh from all over the world.

I have bootleg copies of Win 95, Win ME and Win XP Pro and one legit copy of Win 98A and Win NT 4.0 I'd consider selling to help fund this venture! Just let me burn another copy first. . .
