    Get rid of the minimize animation in gnome!

    Step 1

    Open a terminal..

    gconf-editor
    Apps > Metacity > General
    check the reduced_resources box

    ::

    Step 2

    In the menu..

    System > Preferences > Assistive Technology Support. Enable it.

    (to get rid of the wire frame)


    done!
