I've heard alot of good things about Zenwalk, so thanks for mentioning it, but I actually gave Fedora a shot today and I think I'm going to stick with it for a while. Very stable so far, very fast, and everything I need seems to be working so far. When it all falls through, I'll give Zenwalk a shot and come back here and compare it to Arch.
I agree on Arch 64, btw. It was fast, but I got tired of building packages for everything I needed, and alot of them didn't want to compile at all. Check out Fedora. It doesn't exactly pass the "simple" requirement, but its hugeness doesn't seem to be getting in my way the way distros like OpenSUSE do.
