Suggestion: unify CD-boot, loading and login screens

To be honest, I was so sure this would be included in Edgy that I didn't even bother suggesting it.

I think that the CD-boot, loading and login screens should be based on the same art. I am not sure how possible it is for the CD-boot, but the loading screen can certainly be made to look like the login screen with current technology. I am thinking something like...



Of course, the login screen might look different in Feisty, so we should match the loading screen to look just like it. It would look very nice and, I think, would actually make the boot process appear faster (just like Windows gives you a desktop before you being able to do anything with it, this gives you something that looks like the login to the OS before being actually able to log in).

i agree, that kinda annoys me a bit that the boot splash and login are totally different

is that an actual theme or a mockup? i'd love to get my hands on that if you could post a link
