    Best Download Manager?

Now I've got my ATi card working, I want to move my NeverWinter Nights installation over to Linux. I need to download 1.3GB worth of files to get it working, and it'll take an age to download.

What's the best download manager for Ubuntu?

Do you need acceleration (multiple server connections, like most Windows download managers)? If not, try gwget (sudo aptitude install gwget).

I have a 5.5meg connection, so accel. isn't really needed. I got 3/4 of the way through my NWN download and DownThemAll! lost it (!)

    gwget seems ace, cheers

I really like aria2 (apt-get it, then 'aria2c' is the command from a terminal). DTA! is much more stable now (a beta recently came out), and if you still have trouble they are heavily into fixing reported errors right now.

None of the current ones are very good IMO (d4x is best of what's available), but I'm going to change that. I am currently in the middle of writing a new download manager, which I expect to release by mid-august.
