Thank you for your reply (and compliment!). You may be in luck! See this thread for a project that seems like what you describe. Also, please read the "SUGGESTIONS & CRITICISMS" section of my first post (do not worry, you did not miss it because it was added when you typed this reply!)

Thank you for your detailed bug report.

A few questions so that I can try solving this bug:
    1) Do you have gnome installed? (you are using fluxbox, but maybe you have gnome installed). If not, how did you install fluxbox? From a server/custom install of Ubuntu? From Xubuntu? From Kubuntu?
    2) Please provide me with the full output of these commands (and tell me what output corresponds to what command):
    Code:
    dpkg-query -s python | grep Version
    dpkg-query -s python-gnome2-extras | grep Version
    dpkg-query -s python-gtk2 | grep Version
    dpkg-query -L python-gnome2-extras
    tune2fs
    dpkg-query -l e2fsprogs
Please wrap your ouput in code tags so that it is easier to read.

    Comments:
The TraceBack python errors when you run bonager look like they are due to not having enough information from the backend. This is a good error because it shows that the code can be improved with fail safe aborts (will try to incorporate this into next release).

Your first error, the tune2fs, is what I assume caused this. You may have a different (and incompatible) version of tune2fs. I did not expect this because tune2fs is VERY old and I assumed that it was standardized. If version difference is what caused this then I need to add a new dependency to the requirements.

According to your output of dpkg-query -L python-gnome2-extras, you do not have the necessary gnome files to run this program. As you can see, that package only provides you with examples and not the actual libraries (yes, that is strange!). There are only two known (as far as I know) python gtk tray icon libraries. The one that I used and a newer one that only the newest GNOME version has. As you can see, whatever library I would have chosen, users with older versions of GNOME would be out of luck.

Could you provide me with the output of (just in case):
    Code:
    dpkg-query -S trayicon.so
If you want, I can provide you with the missing library, but this is really stretching it because I have no idea if it will work with your version of python and gtk. Also, you must realize that this has a very high chance of breaking your system if you decide to upgrade to Edgy AND forget to remove the library before the upgrade. But if you remove it before any dist-upgrade you should be fine. Your choice and it is up to you if you want to take the risk. Please let me know what you decide.

Thank you. If you use it, please give me some feedback (see SUGGESTIONS & CRITICISMS section in the first post). Even if you have no suggestions or criticisms, I also appreciate feedback that only states that the program works.

I won't be upgrading to Edgy because of problems with my video card (ATI 9200), and when I do I will most likely do a clean install anyway, so if you have the time to waste on me I will give it a try.

It's better to develop things for dapper and extend support upwards so you keep lib deps at the last LTS.
