aysiu,
While I contemplated starting a new thread to pose this question/request, I believe the following can be placed in this thread as it's titled "All my favorite Linux desktop readiness threads."
I would like to propose (and I apologize if this has been mentioned before) that you either make a sticky thread or begin a new thread (or add here) all of the links that you have found useful/helpful in your endeavors as a Linux/Ubuntu user. This should, of course, mention/list http://psychocats.org but would also contain links (top-level and otherwise) to the Ubuntu wiki (http://wiki.ubuntu.com), the Ubuntu help pages (http://help.ubuntu.com), the Ubuntu guide (http://ubuntuguide.org -- if you're so inclined ), monkey blog (http://www.monkeyblog.org/ubuntu/installing/) as well as any other pages you feel deserve attention. It would be nice to list threads you find helpful that are located on the forums as well.
The reason I bring this up, I believe, I quite obvious -- new users and veterans alike, could benefit from one thread that, at the very least, points them in the right direction. Will new users still post questions over and over that have been asked before, yes. Will they be ever-grateful to find a catch-all starting place that lifts their spirits and creates a fire within them to keep treading along, learning new ideas and methods as they go, absolutely.
What do you think about this idea? I vote yes. 8)
I'm sure I'm not the first person who would like to pick your brain.
