    Good grief! I feel like an idiot. I have no clue why I didn't think of that. All is good now.

    Thanks,

    run the command sudo chmod +s /usr/sbin/hddtmp and then you should be able to use:

    ${execi 60 hddtemp SATA:/dev/sda --unit F | cut -c33-39}

    ...in yer conky.

    Thanks, for the addon. Also, in case anybody is interested, here's a reference I made up that displays all the "funky" font characteristics from the StyleBats font. Hope somebody can use it for something.

    Looks like numbers give alternative symbols and that's it...

    If you install and run "gnome-specimen" you can view the fonts for any characters. See the screenshots attached. There are other apps like this out there too.

    It's enabled in Songbird, at least I think it is. The only things to choose from in the add-ons windows is "Disable" and "Uninstall".

    Re: Post your .conkyrc files w/ screenshots

    Ok, so I have a question about the following Configuration Setting variables:

    Code:
    show_graph_scale
                  Shows the maximum value in scaled graphs.

    show_graph_range
                  Shows the time range covered by a graph.
    To start off. The show_graph_scale variable doesn't even seem to affect anything. I don't see any other number in conky when I enable it with "yes".

    Second, and what is bothering me the most, is that the show_graph_range isn't accurate what so ever. There will be a number in there, something like "1m3s" yea my graph's length runs all the way through is something more like 25 seconds. Am I thinking about this variable all wrong or what? Can someone offer more info about it? I would really appreciate any help, thanks!

    Edit: I just messed around with it a little more too and the number that is displayed seems to get inaccurate after i change my update_interval to over 100 or somewhere around there. At least for me. Anyways let me know what you think of this.

    Only show info when the scale isn't set in the conky call:

    Code:
    diskiograph normal|log (device) (height),(width) (gradient colour 1) (gradient colour 2) (scale)

    Re: Post your .conkyrc files w/ screenshots

    Can someone give me a hand with my conkyrc file. I am having trouble with the formatting of just an rss conky file. here it is:
    Code:
    use_xft yes
    xftfont verdana:size=8
    alignment top_right
    xftalpha 0.8
    own_window yes
    own_window_type override
    own_window_transparent yes
    own_window_hints undecorated,below,sticky,skip_taskbar,skip_pager
    double_buffer yes
    draw_shades no
    draw_outline no
    draw_borders no
    stippled_borders 10
    border_margin 4
    border_width 1
    default_shade_color grey
    default_outline_color black
    default_color BADCDD
    use_spacer none
    no_buffers yes
    uppercase no
    color1 F8DF58

    TEXT

    ${rss http://www.ndbc.noaa.gov/data/latest_obs/46231.rss 60 feed_title}

    ${rss http://www.ndbc.noaa.gov/data/latest_obs/46231.rss 60 item_title 0}

    ${rss http://www.ndbc.noaa.gov/data/latest_obs/46231.rss 60 item_desc 0}
    What is happening is its pulling the feed but it looks like this on my desktop: (see screenshot)

    Does anyone have any suggestions on what i can do to fix this formatting. Thanks.
