I have this problem on display the temperature of my cpu.

${execi 1 cat /sys/bus/pci/drivers/k8temp/000*/temp1_input | cut -c1,2} °C

The same instruction used by archeryguru2000 but i obtain this result.



While if i use the same command directly on the terminal:
~$ cat /sys/bus/pci/drivers/k8temp/0000\:00\:18.3/temp1_input | cut -c1,2
33

The result is correct without strange symbol after the number as you can see on the image.

I believe you need this part as well to clear that symbol:

# Force UTF8? note that UTF8 support required XFT
override_utf8_locale yes

from archeryguru2000's main conky config.

override_utf8_locale yes
but the result don't change.
1) How do configure xft?

2) I have another question:
${execi 1 sudo smartctl -a /dev/sda | grep 194 | cut -c88-90}

How can obtain the same result (the temperature of my hdd) without sudo (possibly using smartctl)?

I don't want execute a process always as root.

Here is this week's forecast. (It snowed last Saturday...)

Couple of weeks ago it hit 41°C (105° F) and had been in the high 30's for a couple of weeks. Talk about SUFFER!! Now it back down to a pleasant 20-some°.
