Mine's a one-liner (two, actually).

It took some fuss to get the graph to work correctly, but I think it works right now.

If you try something similar, mind your gap_y setting. For some reason, I had to add a voffset at the end of the 2nd line to even out... I think it might be a bug.

You use:

own_window_transparent yes
own_window_colour hotpink if is transparent there isnt background colour, so comment this

The first three sed expressions amount to adding a couple of spaces before the first and in between each column of the calendar. The last one marks the current day with braces. To see what it look like see attached screen shot.

If conky is over you icons then they wont show up. It's not real transparency.. Move your icons.. or conky

turning off double buffer stopped the icons from disappearing. sometimes i amaze myself
