    Code:
    edit: conky doesn't recognize the audacious variables: audacious_title, audacious_filename shouldn't it?
    You would need to have enabled audacious during compiling conky. There is a alternative though using audtool from the audacious-dev package. I myself have never personally used audtool, but have heard lots of great things and I don't believe it's too difficult to get working. Here is the link to the audtool page. =]

    has anyone been able to fix this conky error:

    Code:
     Conky: /home/joe/.conkyrc: 110: config file error
    Conky: desktop window (c0005a) is subwindow of root window (186)

    I tried adding Load "dbe" to my xorg file and it stopped the flickering perfectly except that now my desktop icons where flickering. As soon as i removed that line the icons went back to normal.

    Re: Post your .conkyrc files w/ screenshots

    I seem to have lost the anti-aliased text on my conky setup. Has anyone else had this problem? The text now looks proper fugly, and I've tweaked all sorts within the conkyrc file, but I can't seem to get back to the smoothness... any clues?

    Re: Post your .conkyrc files w/ screenshots

    it seems that if my wireless hasn't connected yet the weather does not show, and it never seems to recheck, and it never seems to update. Is there a way to get it to check the weather periodically? My workaround was to create a startup script to wait 20 seconds before starting conky.

    I used the .conkyrc file from the 1st post in this thread and i was wondering if someone could look at my .conkyrc file and my screenshot and tell me why i have the little white boxes everywhere?

    ${execi 60 cal -3 | cut -c23-64}

    According to the manpage,
    Code:
    cal -m
    should make monday the first day of the week monday so in your case cal -3 becomes cal -3m.

    NEVER type a command you don't understand eg. sudo rm -rf / or something similar
    Learn about them here or here.
