Re: Post your .conkyrc files w/ screenshots

I've been tinkering with it quit a bit whenever I can and I've had no success :/

I tried your new settings and that conky looks exactly as it did before >.>

    I also get few more errors than I did before;
    Code:
glen@maxwell:~$ conky -c conkyrssConky: invalid configuration file 'conkyrss'

Conky: desktop window (80001d) is subwindow of root window (7c)
    Conky: window type - normal
Conky: drawing to created window (0x1800002)
    Conky: drawing to double buffer

    Paths are the key.
If you saved your conkyrss as .conkyrss then use that path.
You can make sure the path is correct by going to conkyrss in the file browser
and right clicking on it and chose "copy".
    Code:
    conky -c <paste in path>
    Also check conky-rss.sh is executable.

Your original conky is using sensors.
Have you installed and set up lm-sensors?
    http://conky.pitstop.free.fr/wiki/in...g_Sensors_(en)

Once set up you may need help in adapting the conky to give your temps.
    Post the output from sensors

Path is correct and conky-rss.sh is executable.

Though, I had no idea about setting sensor thing, so thank you for valuable input ^^

So what do you get when running the RSS conky config
    Code:
    conky -c <your path to conkyrss>
Don't confuse the conky config with the RSS shell script which is similarly named.
You now have 2 conky configs. Your original config and conkyrss which uses the conky-rss.sh script.

The conky-rss.sh script uses curl which I don't think is installed by default.
    Code:
    sudo apt-get install curl

Like I said, a new conky same as older one. I'm running both at the same time to just show you.

I followed your link to add sensors before running these commands and added the lines to module when it asked me to, and they are still not added. Do I need to restart? Or is there something I'm missing I've to do to install these kernels?

I've curl installed. So, no problems there.

What are the commands you're using to start the 2 separate conky configs?
What does running sensors in terminal give you?

    Commands would be

    Code:
    conky -c conkyrss
    And
    Code:
    conky -c conkyrc

    Running sensors gives me this
    Code:
No sensors found!Make sure you loaded all the kernel drivers you need.
Try sensors-detect to find out which these are.

Re: Post your .conkyrc files w/ screenshots

Your previous pics show all terminals giving a sensors error but if your have the path correct to the config you
posted earlier as .conkyrss you won't get this error as there is no sensors call in this config.
Leave the original config and try and run the conkyrss config.
You labelled it as .conkyrss so I'm assuming it's at ~/.conkyrss
    ie
    Code:
    conky -c ~/.conkyrss

    It is in ''/home/glen''

    I get
    Code:
glen@maxwell:~$ conky -c ~/.conkyrssConky: desktop window (80001d) is subwindow of root window (7c)
    Conky: window type - desktop
Conky: drawing to created window (0x2600001)
    Conky: drawing to double buffer
    sh: 1: /home/jj/conky-rss.sh: not found
Just to experiment I tried to delete my original .conkyrc and try the above command.

    I got this
    Code:
    glen@maxwell:~$ conky -c ~/home/glen/.conkyrss
    Conky: invalid configuration file '/home/glen/home/glen/.conkyrss'

That shows your conky config for RSS is at ~/.conkyrssConky but the path to the conky-rss.sh script within the config is wrong.
It's looking in /home/jj ......correct the path
