    Hey, you're busy in the development lab, I thought I'd help with some field work

    If I may - add an & to the end of that - then you can hit [Return] or [Enter] and the terminal is returned to you.
    Code:
    conky -c /home/username/wun/wunrc &
    Looks good mrpeachy and works like a champ here!!

    i never add the & as im usually tinkering with a script or a template and need the terminal error messages to help me spot (all to frequent) mistakes

    yay, I'm quoting myself!
    I was wondering if there was a command that could be run by the lua or conky that would return the console after everything is up and running... I would find that very useful

    Say what? Is this a case of Dr Peachy and Mr. McDowall?

    OK the & still allows errors - and hit enter to get back to terminal when no error - and run another command when errors are flying by.

    I should know, I probably get more errors than the average conkystador!

    Code:
     field 'moon_transit' (a nil value)
    Conky: llua_do_call: function conky_weather execution failed: /home/sector11/wun/wun_template.lua:257: attempt to index field 'moon_transit' (a nil value)

    And like dk75 said ... "background yes" is one of the changes I made (all of my conkys have it):

    I even add the "kill" command for the specific conky as line two in my conkys, this is my modified;

    Check the email address your signing in with is the same as the one that logs you in as mrpeachy.
    You would probably need to get admins to delete your jmcdowall account so you could
    associate that email to your U1 account.
    It allows you to add emails in your U1 account settings.
