Thank you, it's going to be a good year, it's going to be a good year, it's going to be a good year, it IS going to be a good year!

falldown has to make a couple of changes to the icon set, there's a couple of "oopsies!" in there ... when he posts the new batch, if you haven't got them I'll post a link. They are something else ... and match the AwOken icon set.

    Oooooooooooooo that clock!!!!!

Re: Post your .conkyrc files w/ screenshots

My first conky based on conky lua. All images in the first pic were placed in conkyrc. On the second pic I decided to load multiple configs at startup so I can change/place ships anywhere on the screen instead of trying to cram everything in one area. Both conky are transparent so I can use any space pic for my desktop background and they will overlay without me doing any additional editing. If you look close that's me in the suit. I LOVE gimp.
    My configs are below.

Nice, I waved but you didn't wave back.

    Two things to note:

    1. pressure isn't an altimeter:
    Code:
    altimeter ~ noun
     1. an instrument that measures the height above ground; used in navigation
barometer is ... so: Barometric Pressure
    Code:
    barometer ~ noun
     1. an instrument that measures atmospheric pressure
    2. please use [ code ] tags when posting config files, conkys etc. It's the # in the second line of the menu bar above. It's the polite thing to do.

Sorry on the code tags. It's my first post. As far as altimeter and barometer goes, I know the difference. This is the output given by NOAA for my location. http://weather.noaa.gov/pub/data/obs...coded/KGAD.TXT
There is no way that I know of to change that particular "noun" other than to omit the pressure remark. I didn't see your wave sooooo... Back at ya!

darn you intellicast! a small change in the text on the intellicast site broke v9000
but thankfully it is an easy fix

on line 73, or there about:
    Code:
    local s,f,hdatatomorrow=string.find(allhour,"Today's Hourly Forecast Report(.*)chartFooter")
    change to
    Code:
    local s,f,hdatatomorrow=string.find(allhour,"Tomorrow's Hourly Forecast Report(.*)chartFooter")
    current dropbox links updated

You can go back and edit your previous long post. Just click on "Edit Post" and then "Go Advanced". Then highlight the conkyrc code and click on the # (code wrap symbol). That should get it looking pretty .
    Who's Awesome? You're Awesome.

Say what? That is wrong NOAA ... scheech! you could use "sed" to grab the part of that line you want. Better people than me would have to address that though.

RE: code tags - That's why the "please" and "polite thing to do" ... we all learn. No need to apologize.

    - much better!

I was curious as I didn't think the boffins would get it wrong.
The pressure (altimeter) reading , if I understand it, calculates the pressure of a location as if it were at sea level
thus eliminating pressure differences due to altitude.

    Curiosity didn't kill this cat.

Re: Post your .conkyrc files w/ screenshots

Thanks Petrodawg. I went back and fixed the mistake. I noticed in the process that i had my kernel version listed twice so went back to my conky and fixed that too. Double thanks. It's great to know people who know how to fix stuff and are willing to share the info.
