    Code:
    #####  Weather Alert Display
    #
    ${execpi 300 wget -q --output-document="/tmp/wraw.txt" http://alerts.weather.gov/cap/wwaatmget.php?x=OKC131&y=1}\
    ${execpi 300 cat /tmp/wraw.txt | grep "<title>" | sed -n 2,4p | sed -e 's/^[[:space:]]*//' | sed -e 's/\///' | sed -e 's/<title>//g' | sed -e 's/ until/\nuntil/' | sed "s/\([a-zA-Z]\)\s*$/\1/" > /tmp/walerts.txt}\
    ${execpi 300 wget -q --output-document="/tmp/wraw.txt" http://alerts.weather.gov/cap/wwaatmget.php?x=OKC143&y=1}\
    ${execpi 300 cat /tmp/wraw.txt | grep "<title>" | sed -n 2,4p | sed -e 's/^[[:space:]]*//' | sed -e 's/\///' | sed -e 's/<title>//g' | sed -e 's/ until/\nuntil/' | sed "s/\([a-zA-Z]\)\s*$/\1/" > /tmp/walerts2.txt}\
    ${scroll 32 8 Rogers County - ${execpi 300 cat /tmp/walerts.txt}  •  Tulsa County - ${execpi 300 cat /tmp/walerts2.txt}}

    Thanks for the idea.
    Cool, and I also changed the zone info to county info instead on the warnings/watches/advisories. In addition, trying to stick as close to the stock Archbang look as I can.

    Re: Post your .conkyrc files w/ screenshots

    Hi again all!

    I found an old script for a horizontal calendar that I received from BruceM. I've been trying to get it to work, but failed. As you can see in the thumbnail, I can't get the dates to show up.

    Here's the info:

    Conkyrc
    Code:
     UBUNTU-CONKY.

    OH MY!!! That's oldie but goodie ...

    Try this one, it's an update:
    Code:
    ${execpi 10 /media/5/Conky/scripts/conkycal.sh -l fr}

    with a goto:

    ${goto 30}${execpi 10 /media/5/Conky/scripts/conkycal.sh -l fr|sed 's/^/\${goto 30}/'} ${time %Y}${goto 0}${time %b}
    note the "-l" flag for language, if you want English omit the call to language all together

    Using a goto in the calendar

    conkycal-horiz.sh
    Code:

    I guess I've been out of the loop too long.

    Which code will I put in my conkyrc?

    I tried it the way I thought it should be, but failed miserably.

    EDIT: I've managed to get things going in the right direction. I get the weekdays to show up, but the dates don't show. Also is there a way to increase the font size? It seems that, while I'm getting older, my eyesight doesn't work too well.

    Re: Post your .conkyrc files w/ screenshots

    First post! I did this over the summer when these forums were down. It was very depressing. Now that they are up I came back to post my Conky setup. I got the idea from here: http://www.omgubuntu.co.uk/2013/05/g...ubuntu-desktop

    But it was very boring and not close to actual. I can provide images if anyone wants those too, that was half the battle.
    Its on a vertical monitor so it looks a little weird. Dual monitors sometimes messes with the location when waking from suspend. Its supposed to be on the right monitor but I don't feel like rebooting atm.

    How do I make the image bigger?

    Which code will I put in my conkyrc?

    How is this:
    Code:
    # killall conky && conky -c ~/conky.test &

    I left it with "-l en" to show it can be used ... you will need to edit /media/5/Conky/scripts/ to point to where you put the script.
    And this really "depends on" a mono font to work correctly. It will always display 31 days ... first day of day one after a 30 day month will be gray.

    Depending on your font and size the ${goto} and ${voffset} commands are necessary.

    Because I am using more than one size for fonts with:
    Code:
    draw_shades yes #no # amplifies text if yes
    default_shade_color 000000

    draw_outline yes # amplifies text if yes
    default_outline_color 000000
    that final ${font} is required or the shadows and outlines go all haywire!

    Three image commands from your conky:
    Code:
    ${image ~/.conky-google-now/vbar.png -p 203, 250 5x30}
    ${image ~/.conky-google-now/test6.png -p -5, -5 360x100}
    ${image ~/.conky-google-now/wind.png -p 30,178 -s 15x15}
    the image command positions the image (-p) and sets the size (-s) as seen above some of your commands do not have the "-s" but has the sizes set

    positions are with a comma - , - so
    Code:
    -p 0,0
    would be:

    the upper left corner of the image is placed at the upper left corner of the conky window.

    If -s is not used the image is it's actual size ... when changing the size you have to keep the ratio ... so
    Code:
    -s 15x15
    is a square - you could make it 25x25, 5x5, etc.

    Things like 360x100 are a bit more difficult ... x2 would be 720x200 --- I'd use gimp to find the ratios...
