Re: Post your .conkyrc files w/ screenshots

I have concluded the disparity in the network traffic figures is because the System Monitor display in the menubar and Conky are updated at different rates. Oops. I don't know what Conky is refreshed at but the Network figures are updated every 500ms.

That's the battery bar. Not quite as colored as I'd like it.

Might want to specify who you are requesting such things from...

BTW, if you'd like to use one posted here, you simply have to create an empty text file .conkyrc in your ~/ folder, then run sudo gedit ~/.conkyrc and simply copy & paste.

    Adjust your gap_x parameter.
Windows assumes the user is an idiot.
    Linux demands proof.

Re: Post your .conkyrc files w/ screenshots

Actually I rebooted afterwards and all was well. :/

How do I change the window size shown there so it's not sticking so far out to the left as shown above? As I can't use background mode, because it would interfere with desktop icons, I have to stick to windowed mode, it would be kind of neat if it wasn't so far blown over to the left

From the look of one of your screenshots I would say the lines in your config are all shifted over
by a $goto setting creating a wide window.

Don't understand what you mean by can't use background mode?
    Post your config.
