    Also, global array can be made to store this informations and file system query can be done every 5, 15 or more Conky loops.
    And with ${fs_free} you need to know exactly name of device to query. it's ok with local disks, but what about USB sticks or portable USB disks? ${fs_free} is powerless with that.

    Here's mine, running on kubuntu 12.10. It has the usual things + some customs:
    - Monitor of remote HPC platform (torque)
    - Todo.txt support, split up private vs work
    - either MPD and spotify (with correct pause timer) support, depending on which one is running

    It is in desktop background (but widgets can't cover it...), I use feh to put the wallpaper behind it.

    [IMG]http://geertvandeweyer.zymichost.com/images/uploaded/desktop.png

    configuration is a bit long, take a look here:

    cheers !

    After a lot of tweaking and a little help from the master, Sector11, finally got it how I want it. Credits to McLovin for the bargraph.lua used in the left hand Conky, and to mrpeachy, for his mounted.lua, and also on the right side his v9000 weather script. Bottom right credits to VastOne, for the gmail parser and the awesome GMB Layouts! And thanks also to jst_joe, for getting rid of the green and replacing it with blue, in my favorite wallpaper!

    All that power and simply listening to music.

    I shall post my SS shortly. It's based on Pinguy's original concept. Taken out alot of unnecessary frills/code and brought it up to date. I was hoping for a simple weather gadget, the task to be relatively "simple." It wasn't.

    Pinguy's original concept? Interesting ... they have a whole flock of conkys. Looking forward to seeing which one you are talking about.

    I use two scripts in one conky: conkyForecast and v9000 LUA (not Pinguy at all)

    At Pinguy it says to use this: .conkyForecast.config
    Code:
    CACHE_FOLDERPATH = /tmp/
    CONNECTION_TIMEOUT = 5
    EXPIRY_MINUTES = 5
    TIME_FORMAT = %H:%M
    DATE_FORMAT = %d-%m-%y
    LOCALE = Poole, United Kingdom
    XOAP_PARTNER_ID =
    XOAP_LICENCE_KEY = UKXX0113
    MAXIMUM_DAYS_FORECAST = 7
    BASE_XOAP_URL = http://xoap.weather.com/weather/local/<LOCATION>?cc=*&dayf=10&link=xoap&prod=xoap&par=<XOAP_PARTNER_ID>&key=<XOAP_LICENCE_KEY>&unit=m
    locale is not for where you are but a choice of languages that conkyForecast uses.

    Typing conkyForecast --help in a terminal will show you:
    Code:
      -L LOCALE, --locale=LOCALE
                            override the system locale for language output
                            (bg=bulgarian, cs=czech, de=german, es=spanish,
                            en=english, es=spanish, fj=fijian, fr=french,
                            it=italian, nl=dutch, pl=polish, ro=romanian,
                            sk=slovak, more to come)
    What that conkyForecast.config file is missing is:
    Code:
    DEFAULT_LOCATION = UKXX0113 ##Poole, United Kingdom
    conkyForecast help at Conky PitStop

    Mine looks like this:
    Code:
    #=============================================#
    # EXPERT SETTINGS, NOT REQUIRED TO BE ALTERED #
    #=============================================#
    #BASE_XOAP_URL = http://xoap.weather.com/weather/local/<LOCATION>?cc=*&dayf=5&link=xoap&prod=xoap&par=<XOAP_PARTNER_ID>&key=<XOAP_LICENCE_KEY>&unit=m
    BASE_XOAP_URL = http://xml.weather.com/weather/local/<LOCATION>?cc=*&dayf=10&link=xoap&prod=xoap&par=<XOAP_PARTNER_ID>&key=<XOAP_LICENCE_KEY>&unit=m

    MAXIMUM_DAYS_FORECAST = 9

    #===============================================#
    # USER SETTINGS, EDIT BASED ON DOCUMENTED SETUP #
    #===============================================#
    CACHE_FOLDERPATH = /media/5/Conky/cache/
    CONNECTION_TIMEOUT = 5
    EXPIRY_MINUTES = 30
    TIME_FORMAT = %H:%M
    DATE_FORMAT = %Y-%m-%d
    LOCALE = en
    XOAP_PARTNER_ID =
    XOAP_LICENCE_KEY =
    DEFAULT_LOCATION = ARBA0009  #BsAs Argentina
    AUTO_NIGHT = TRUE
    PROXY_HOST =
    PROXY_PORT = 8080
    PROXY_USERNAME =
    PROXY_PASSWORD =
    Note:
    Code:
    XOAP_PARTNER_ID =
    XOAP_LICENCE_KEY =
    are no longer used.

    That conky is using 30 exec(i or pi) commands to get the weather:
    exec command

    Executes a shell command and displays the output in conky. warning: this takes a lot more resources than other variables. I'd recommend coding wanted behaviour in C and posting a patch.
    when one single execpi command with a template will get it all:

    Code:
    WEATHER ${hr 2}
    ${execpi 1800 conkyForecast --refetch --imperial --location=UKXX0113  --shortweekday --template=/media/5/conky/os2-cF.template}
    ${hr 2}
    os2-cF.template
    Code:
    ${alignc}[--datatype=CC]
    ${font ConkyWeather:style=Bold:size=40}[--datatype=WF]${goto 150}${font Arial Black:size=26}[--datatype=HT]${font}

    ${goto 70}[--datatype=DW --startday=1]${goto 125}[--datatype=DW --startday=2]${goto 180}[--datatype=DW --startday=3]${goto 235}[--datatype=DW --startday=4]
    ${goto 70}${font ConkyWeather:size=28}[--datatype=WF --startday=1 --endday=4 --spaces=2]${font}

    Location:${alignr}[--datatype=CN]
    Feels Like:${alignr}[--datatype=LT]
    Dew Point:${alignr}[--datatype=DP]
    Chance of Precip:${alignr}[--startday=0 --datatype=PC]
    Humidity:${alignr}[--datatype=HM]
    Wind:${alignr}[--datatype=WS] - [--datatype=WD]
    Pressure:${alignr}[--datatype=BR]
    Visibility:${alignr}[--datatype=VI --imperial]
    Sunrise:${alignr}[--datatype=SR]
    Sunset:${alignr}[--datatype=SS]
    Moon Phase:${alignr 8}[--datatype=MP] ${font MoonPhases:size=8}[--datatype=MF]${font}

    Last Updated:${alignr}[--hideunits --datatype=LU]

    The bottom weather is the template - using imperial. I don't have the "Weather" font.

    Edited out the Current Condition between Dew Point and Chance of Precip

    Re: Post your .conkyrc files w/ screenshots

    Here is my desktop now. I stole this config of the web. It is simplistic as I like it. Still working on the user section. I don't like how it displays the same user for every occurrence they are logged in. I also don't like how it's aligned that far right. I still want it over to the right but not completely on the edge.

    Basically I want to know how many unique user that are logged in, what consoles they are using and there user name.
