    when merged, without arguments for weather report, conkyrc looks like this:

    i want it to look something like this...which arguments should i play with considering these two scripts in above post?
    Do they work as two separate files?

    In your merged attempt you put the weather below the data conky and included an extra TEXT command.

    Start with the Weather Conky and add the Data Conky below that something like this WITHOUT the TEXT line:

    Code:
    ${image ~/.images/flip_bg.png -p 130,10 -s 100x110}
    ${execpi 600 conkyForecast --location=HRXX0005 --template=~/.vreme.template}

    ${color CC9900}SYSTEM ${hr 2}${color}
    ${nodename} ${sysname} ${kernel} on ${machine}
    It's a good practice to enclose ALL conky commands {inside curly brackets}

    Re: Post your .conkyrc files w/ screenshots

    Hello guys, just installed conky and it won't load at start-up, nor can I find the config file. I have ran it before, through terminal, but no beans

    I have searched high and low on google to find the file, but it never shows up, and I have hidden files on show obviously. No amount of searching brings it up either. So if I was to save somebody else's config, where would I save it?

    Apologies if this doesn't belong here, and double that if it's already been answered, but there are a hell of a lot of pages in this thread!

    I believe you can just save that persons config as text filed called .conkyrc in your home folder and conky will run it. Just make sure its a simple configuration, otherwise you may need to do more if it requires templates and such.

    You can create a conky startup script by creating an empty text file named conky-startup.sh and copy the text below in the file and save.

    Code:
    #!/bin/bash
    sleep 15 && conky
    then right click the file, select properties, then permissions, and select "Allow executing file as program".

    You can then go to your start up applications program and add a path to your conky-startup.sh file to start up conky when you start the computer.

    It is something that can be done ... but spacing (width) needs working on.

    I have to go out now ... will come up with a better solution later.

    In progress:

    EDIT! Conky finished and new images of finished work:

    One change I made was to put the cpugraph over the "Total CPU" bar, that why it has a white border. The graph is red the bar is blue.
    The same can be done for the CPU bars 1 and 2, maker a graph for them in the same way.

    If you don't like it change:
    Code:
    Total CPU:
     ${cpu cpu0}%${goto 40}${color 597DB2}${cpubar cpu0}${color}${goto 40}${cpugraph cpu0 -t 20,210 FF0000 FFFF33}
    to
    Code:
    Total CPU:
     ${cpu cpu0}%${goto 40}${color 597DB2}${cpubar cpu0}${color}
    ${goto 40}${cpugraph cpu0 -t 20,210 FF0000 FFFF33}

    The conky: Note the path that will need changing:
    /media/5/conky/folti/folti_m.conky
    Code:
    # killall conky && conky -c /media/5/conky/folti/folti_m.conky &

    Code:
    #!/bin/bash
    sleep 15 && conky
    then right click the file, select properties, then permissions, and select "Allow executing file as program".

    You can then go to your start up applications program and add a path to your conky-startup.sh file to start up conky when you start the computer.
    Yep that worked, thanks! Strangely enough the background colour is changing on it's own! But other than that thanks!

    Re: Post your .conkyrc files w/ screenshots

    Here's how mine looks as of right now. I'm 99% happy with it, but the part I've circled keeps moving a few pixels left and right at seemingly random times. I've gone over the code until my eyes glazed over and can't figure out what I've done wrong. If anyone could have a look and see if they can spot why it's doing this, I'd be very appreciative.

    Code:

    use_spacer right
    See if that helps...

    Re: Post your .conkyrc files w/ screenshots

    That seems to have done the trick. Thanks mate!

    I still can't work out why one object at {alignr 920} won't line up with another object at {alignr 920}, but that's a headache for another day.

    Edit: spoke too soon. Still jumping around. Grr.

    ${alignr} or align to RHS is not as definitive or absolute as ${goto *}. In actual fact your code is telling conky to align to the right, and then move left 920! Hence in simple English, and notwithstanding the code-gibberish, ${goto} is far cleaner an instruction.

    Edit: spoke too soon. Still jumping around. Grr.
    Not likely to be resolved then unless you switch to a mono font for this section of conky...
