    I would recommend you look at other alternatives if this is your first attempt.

    There are three great alternatives in my signature:
    v9000 - mrpeachys LUA weather - accuweather
    Teos - uses bash scripts - choose one of four different weather sites.
    ArcLance's script uses bash scripts and uses various site to get more complete info.

    Now if you still want to try, what version of conkyForecast are you using?

    Code:
      13 Oct 12 | 12:01:06 ~
             $ conkyForecast -V
    conkyForecast v2.24

      13 Oct 12 | 12:01:26 ~
             $
    Do you have a:
    Code:
    XOAP_PARTNER_ID =
    XOAP_LICENCE_KEY =
    in your ~/.conkyForecast.config

    If not it will be tough as they don't issue those anymore.

    Mine uses a Python script to collect the data from the Internet and a Lua script to display it in conky.
    No bash scripts are involved.

    Oops!

    OH well, at least I mentioned you - I won't make that boo-boo again.

    Hello!
    @sector11

    Yes, it's version 1.9.0.

    I get this when I run this command:

    $ sensors | grep 'Core 0'
    Core 0: +46.0°C (high = +86.0°C, crit = +100.0°C)

    I still get the same old error message about the imlib library and context. I've tried using other conkyrc scripts, including the basic one that comes with conky, and I get the same error message for each one. Since it's highly doubtful all these people are writing flawed code, I suspect the problem may be on my computer somewhere.
    I re-installed imlib2-that didn't fix it.
    I'm going to mess with it for a few more days, but unless I can narrow down what's messing all of the scripts up, I guess I'll have to look for an alternative program.

    Thanks for putting up with me for all this time!

    Perfect ... lets get back to that later OR see my earlier post.

    Lets work on this:

    Should have seen me in the beginning, or when I started with LUA!
    I was a pain .....

    We help because we can. I'm not going to quit if you don't.
    You have the needle in the haystack, I'm doing the looking. That makes things a bit more difficult but mot impossible.

    Where is the conky you are starting?
    Code:
    ~/.conkyrc
    How are you starting your conky?
    Code:
    conky
    Does the conky run at all?

    What are you using to edit the files?

    I just did a Google search for:
    Code:
    Conky: This program is calling the Imlib call
    and came up with some interesting stuff. I know you have things after
    Code:
    TEXT
    so that isn't the problem

    I've eliminated the
    Code:
    user_space none
    but comment that out just in case.

    Now .... Try this: copy this to ~/rpc
    . . . ( rpc for RolyPolyCat )

    Code:
    # killall conky && conky -c ~/rpc &
    ###  Begin Window Settings  ##################################################

    Looking for some conky help. Is there anyone that is able to recreate the geektool in the attached screenshot in Conky? I have attempted it and failed miserably after 2 hours of messing around (I am not that well versed in Conky)

    What do you mean by "geektool"?

    The clock/date in the middle or the launcher bar on the bottom?
