Thank you very much arclance. Was developing a little forum daze there trying to find it.

    EDIT:Wow! Way cool,thanks again.

My brain is now running nine o thinking of how I would like conky configured on my desktop.

2nd. EDIT: My inexperience with Linux is causing me to have a hard time figuring out the best version of each the dependency's.
I'm using Gnome classic (if that really has any bearing on anything).
I think I downloaded the right lib files for the python2.7, I downloaded libpython2.7_2.7.3-0ubuntu3_i386.deb.
I'm seriously hung up on the cpickle. That's as far as I've gotten.

Re: Post your .conkyrc files w/ screenshots

I can have conky transparent in KDE with the Desktop Effects on, but how can I have transparency without the Desktop Effects in KDE? I have tried a lot of combinations but it doesn't work. Couldn't find anything helpful elsewhere except something on openSuse forum where they suggested to install xcompmgr.

Anyone has done it in Kubuntu, that is without the desktop effects?

I looked up the package names in Ubuntu.
These should be the packages you need.

OK, I am new to conky and have set mind up today. It is a work in progress and I don't have my weather part setup yet, but here it is.

Re: Post your .conkyrc files w/ screenshots

i have been trying to get my conky to show GPU temps for my 9800GX2

    NVIDIA GeForce 9800GX2
    GPU $alignr ${nvidia gpufreq} Mhz
    Memory $alignr ${nvidia memfreq} Mhz
    Temperature $alignr ${nvidia temp} C

seems to work fine for GPU0 "or the first gpu"

but i cant seem to figure out how to get the other GPU readings
    im mostly interested in temperature

it would also be nice if i could get a GPU usage graph for both GPUs

    kinda like this? ${cpugraph cpu0 40,120 33aacc 0099cc}
    but for GPU usage

    any help is appreciated

Maybe this, from Crinos512, will still work: Conky KDE Transparency.

Let us know if it works.
