    Ok I got it working in KDE. See the screen shot to see how it looks on my laptop. I'll post the one on my Desktop later.

    I've tried adding a few conky wireless variables but they won't work, I get zero or unk. Is it because my wireless is eth1 and not wlan1? If so, how can I change it? I've tried searching but I didn't find any solutions.

    Has anyone noticed that CPU processing bar shows incorrect data. The bar and percentage doesn't match. Has this something to do with high workloads? The script is VinDSL's (as of 10-12-27).

    not that ive seen. I remember somebody tryin it but I think it wouldn't play past the first image in the gif
    so no one else know's a way? for a .gif to play in conky?

    I would try re-installing the conky monitor. All the conky itself does is what the monitor say. sudo apt-get install conky
    I would try that if someone else don't have a better idea. Maybe VinDSL would know.

    i think you have your variables the wrong way.
    according to http://conky.sourceforge.net/variables.html (scroll down for cpubar)

    you need the following setup:

    ive been working with the cairo curve_to operation and found it very tricky to get all the coordinates correct by just punching in numbers, so i wrote a bit of lua code that makes the whole thing easier

    this isnt a script, just a bit of code to put into a script to help construct curves

    you specify start coordinates and end coordinates then use angle and length settings, illustrated by the code, to calculate the curve points in between
    then once you are happy with your curves, and you want to simplify things, copy down the code lines displayed and use them in place of the above

    This script draws percentage meters as rings. It is fully customisable; all options are described in the script.
    
    IMPORTANT: if you are using the 'cpu' function, it will cause a segmentation fault if it tries to draw a ring straight away. The if statement on line 145 uses a delay to make sure that this doesn't happen. It calculates the length of the delay by the number of updates since Conky started. Generally, a value of 5s is long enough, so if you update Conky every 1s, use update_num > 5 in that if statement (the default). If you only update Conky every 2s, you should change it to update_num > 3; conversely if you update Conky every 0.5s, you should use update_num > 10. ALSO, if you change your Conky, is it best to use "killall conky; conky" to update it, otherwise the update_num will not be reset and you will get an error.

    As you can see in my screenshot, I'm having trouble with the Calendar. How do you config this calendar? Also, the time is not showing AM/PM, anyway to change this? in ##NETWORK##-- bitrate/network/mode are not showing anything. Should I just delete these fields?

    I'm running an rss feed updater in my conky, in the pic I attached is quite a gap, even though there is no new information, so my question is, how would I go about having there be no gaps at all between rss feed and processors

    but when there is new information it will just force a gap for the new text, then when I've changed the rss feed to the latest doco it will go back to taking up minimal space?

    have I made sense?
