    Add this to /etc/fstab:
    Code:
    # /tmp in tmpfs
    tmpfs						/tmp		tmpfs	defaults,size=4096M,mode=4777	0	0
    it will mount /tmp in virtual 4GiB space that is using your system memory and then SWAP if RAM's not sufficient.
    If you have so much memory that you have no SWAP usage during work (2GB, 4GB?) then it will improve your system speed (or stop killing your SSD drive ).

    After that
    Code:
    dd if=/dev/zero bs=1M count 2K of=/tmp/swap.test
    will eat you 2GiB of RAM 8)

    As for your ringest.lua - it works for me.

    Okay. Interesting. What does this do for me, exactly? Last I checked, if memory is behaving itself, swap space isn't all that necessary. If Xubuntu is running efficiency, it shouldn't use Swap at all, it's just for those times when it's absolutely necessary. I have 1GB of RAM, and I don't have an SSD running right now, so what does this do for me? Is it just a way I can use to show off the colour scheme when I can't get it to show up?

    I know, weird font I use, makes it look like that 0.98 GB is 8.98 GB. But it's only 1.

    I love those two!

    Did you notice Conky is padded with 2's also? LoL!

    Two is a very special number!

    2 + 2 = 4
    2 x 2 = 4
    Two is the most sensitive number.
    And, 2 is the only even prime number.

    Glad you liked it...

    you need some curved text to better fit the leaves
    and i just happen to have a lua function that can do that

    its the same one that puts the text around the circles in the mayan calendar script

    First of all, I put a extra space in the red bit.

    If that doesn't fix it: How wide is your conky ?
    Code:
    ${image ~/home/michael/Downloads/Ubuntu-icon.jpg -p 250,0 -s 80x80}
    seems to be outside your conky "window".

    The x position of your image (250) is beyond the minimum_size value of 180

    i put in the new line and it didn't work, not sure how wide it is, i'll give you a screen shot so you have a rough idea.

    I posted back on your other thread.

    Code:
    ${image ~/home/michael/Downloads/Ubuntu-icon.jpg}
    Try that and then you can mess with aligning it.
