    Thanks...
I hit inspiration and am now hip deep in "how the hell do I do that?" mode.

Thanks, this did the trick. I thought I had this setup already, and I did but I had changed it to 10 instead, must have been trying something and forgot to put it back.

And thanks Sector11 for the heads up on the ssc.sh idea. Very handy.

This thread is contrast to the greatest failure of the Ubuntu Forums. Multitudes of threads with no response from the community.

Re: Post your .conkyrc files w/ screenshots

Question: How many "Indicators" exist in Linux? Stuff like NumLock and CapsLock, that kind of thing? Something miegiel did a while back got me thinking of something to add to my setup.

If anyone can figure out how to get Linux to register when the F-Lock key is pressed (It's on Microsoft Keyboards, shifts the F-Keys from one or another modes for shortcuts.) that would be magnificent. I've tried xev and it didn't register anything at all. So, I'm looking for other On/Off "Inidcators" that Linux may have access to.

I'm on another one of my... well... quests... those little bursts of inspiration I get from time to time that strangle the life out of me. Once I get it working, I'll share it with everyone, but for now I'm curious if there's a better way to detect on/off indicators.

    My Conky display
let me know if anybody wants the code.

In my conky display, the 'INTERNET' section is comprehensive. It handles all three type of connections ('WIRED', 'WIRELESS' and '3G') depending on which connection is active and displays the relevant connection details.

    Looks nice!

Screenlets: That's cheating - they should be conky with LUA.
