    That calendar wheel he came up with is pretty cool. He even had a reminder-type functionality to it. Even though I knew it would beat mine the second I saw it, I like it!
    hahahaha, mobilediesel, that's the comment of a true gentleman.

    However I will be hounding your shadow very soon looking for advice getting remind running. Whose samples you point me to look like pure Martian run through PGP that I don't have the public key for!

    Well, I got the image to work. But I just can't seem to get it centred over the text. Any assistance is greatly appreciated.

    Never mind. Got it figured out.

    Yep.

    At first, I was using the code without -p. Then, after a few minutes of thinking about it, I put the -p in and the image showed up. Then I just did some adjustments, and it works like a charm.

    I'm using a setup created by Scarf http://conky.linux-hardcore.com/?page_id=1258 with only the most minor tweaks. Great stuff!

    Yeah the syntax for remind isn't easily human-readable. You can try:
    http://www.linuxjournal.com/article/3529

    A short example for Cinco de Mayo would be:
    Code:
    REM 5 May MSG Cinco de Mayo!
    REM is for reminder, then the day and month. MSG for message to be displayed, followed by the message to be displayed.

    Then you can make it tricky to show the correct date for Easter:
    Code:
    SET easter EASTERDATE(YEAR(TODAY()))
    REM [TRIGGER(easter)] MSG Easter Sunday

    ${image /home/image.JPG -p -s}
    is this correct? i want to put it on the right side of the screen, but what happens is that it show up then the rest of conky is on top of it but it shows the right size of the image.
