    So you say that if Conky draw it's window 15px from left ( "alignment border_left" ) screen border then it is enough to be centered on screen?
    hm.. if you screen is 1280 and you Conky window have width=1250 then yes it could be case...

    Right the moment I use "alignment bottom_middle" after a tip of user miegiel.

    I also commented out the gap_x and gap_y, just to try!, but no chance to get the conky centered! You are right my screen has a width of 1280!
    I tried so many different codes, but at the moment nothing will work!

    Strange thing is, that it worked for a while, but after installing Jaunty new I have this conky problem!?

    Positioning the conky window on your screen (config part of your .conkyrc above TEXT):
    Code:
    alignment
    gap_x
    gap_y
    If you use alignment tm or alignment bm gap_x 10 won't (shouldn't) have any effect. For the simple reason that there is no gap to create between the window and the edge of the screen.
    If you use alignment ml or alignment mr gap_y 10 won't (shouldn't) have any effect for the same reason.
    (See http://conky.sourceforge.net/config_settings.html for more info on the config settings.)

    Positioning the text inside the conky window (script part of your .conkyrc below TEXT):
    Code:
    ${alignc}
    ${alignr}
    Since conky aligns everything to the left by default there is no ${alignl} You probably don't want to use these, but try them anyway to see the effect.
    Code:
    ${goto ..}
    Move .. pixels to the right and continue the output there. (This one will probably be most usefull to you.)
    Code:
    ${offset ..}
    Move .. pixels to the right or left (negative values) and write/paint the output over what is already there. (Mostly usefull for putting text in bars and graphs)
    Code:
    ${voffset ..}
    As ${offset ..} but vertically.
    (See http://conky.sourceforge.net/variables.html for more info on the variables.)

    Tip : Make you conky window visible while you position it so you can better see the effects of your edits and what happens if the conky window resizes when the content changes.
    Code:
    own_window_transparent no
    own_window_colour black (or white or grey, what ever works best for you)

    Hello miegiel,

    again many thnax for your support!

    I now use:

    Code:
    TEXT
    ${if_running rhythmbox}${alignc -4}${exec rhythmbox-client --print-playing}
    That works quite alright for me!

    Have fun my friend!
