Yes, I did notice that the other day. I never really intended for Ubuntu Christian Edition to be called Ubuntu CE. It just kind of grew from various posts. It is of course also easier to in some instances to create the link to Ubuntu CE instead of Ubuntu Christian Edition. I am not sure how best to deal with this yet.

    Thanks, Jereme

Perhaps do as the other flavors of Ubuntu, put the modifier in front.

    Xubuntu
    Kubuntu

    ...

    CEUbuntu

    Just an idea.

Yeah, like I said I always intended the project to be called Ubuntu Christian Edition. It was simply out of ease that people began to call it Ubuntu CE. Some have also called it UCE and UBCE. The "official" name is Ubuntu Christian Edition. I never really liked the (k)(x)(ed)ubuntu approach. To me it makes more sense to call them "editions". For instance Kubuntu should be "Ubuntu KDE Edition". To me that is more specific. Of course the way I understand it Kubuntu is truly a seperate distro with seperate repos where Ubuntu Christian Edition is basically a customized version of Ubuntu. It is definitely something to consider.

    Thanks, Jereme

You should read this thread in case you are thnking about a name change.

It's seems like we are quite many that wants all ubuntu projects to be called "ubuntu" and then project name.

On the other hand, weren't you first to name it Christian Edition? If so, I think CE is a very normal abbreviation for your distro, and he/she should be the one to change it.

Yeah, I read through some of that thread the other day.

Well, the other UbuntuCE project has not been fully implemented yet. At least that is how it appears. It looks to me like it is in the concept stage. Ubuntu Christian Edition on the other hand is obviously in full swing.

    Thanks, Jereme

If you have an opinion about the naming convention in ubuntu you should write a post in that thread.

It seems like there will be a three-way battle for this name since Microsoft has an OS named
    Windows CE.
I personally would support Ubuntu CE, though.
