Or you can do what I did which was claim a very old pc which someone was going to throw away (or you could pop down to your local computer recycling center and pick one up for a few quid), install the ubuntu LAMP server and hey presto!

ps. mine is a celeron 333 with 160MB of ram (I got it an extra 128MB from ebay for £3.50). At the moment I have a large HD (120GB) but it came with a 10GB one which would have done me fine - its just I had the extra one knocking around doing nothing.

They have a lot of good information and you can also request space for specific purposes with specific requirements.

Yeah, only problem is finding the bandwidth for it, and hoping your ISP won't send you a termination-of-service notice in your mailbox

Perhaps there's an Ubuntu repository for girlfriends (and boyfriends) but you'd better decide whether you need universe, multiverse etc. Try modifying your sources list file

You could always try:

sudo apt-get install girlfriend

or

sudo apt-get install boyfriend

if you like,
but don't blame me if you run into dependency hell
