    Question SuSE question?

Has any one used SuSE, before, does it involve using that dreaded terminal just to basic things.

And more importantly is installing hardware such as an ADSL modem (more specefically the Sagem F@st 800-840) involve using the terminal or can you install hardware via a point and click.

The core meaning of this post is how is the installation of the Tiscal UK ADSL modem the Sagem F@st 800-840 on the SuSE desktop, is it easy point and click or is it an hours trial and error terminal tapping?

no offence to ubuntu, as soon as it gets easy to install my modem on ubuntu id switch to it, but i cant and iv tryed tuts here and everywhere.

All linux distro's require you to use the terminal at some point. If you are not willing to learn or change. Go back to windows.

I will admit sometimes I am a little blunt. But its the truth. Some people are looking for linux to be windows. There is no way to avoid the terminal no matter what distro you use. I used Suse before Ubuntu, I ended up using the terminal just as much if not more with it.
The distro where you never have to use the terminal doesnt exist. Especialy setting up modems and internet connections with anything but the most common hardware.

Not quite true. From the beginning I planned on running Ubuntu without having to go to the command line and have so far been successful.

It's not that I'm scared of it (heck, I used Gentoo for at least 2 years before Ubuntu) just that I'm testing if I can do it
