    Scientific/Engineering/work Software? Section

Hi hi im not shure if they will allow such a section but it may prove benificial or fizzle out and die. Anyways I was thinking that it might be nice to have a Ubuntu for work type section wit hScientific/Engineering/work Software section or sections. Being community maintained it may be a stepping stone into a new area for Ubuntu forum which basicly makes a specific area for Ubuntu for work with possibly such things as Cad how to etc and other commercial uses. Alos over time it may be possible to identify wanted programs and features that may possibly make it into synaptic. I was also thinking it might be nice to have a commercial software link for those looking for work tools.

    Any suggestions.

I know I have an interest in electronics, astronomy, and physics. I have stumbled on some linux apps in those regards, but at the time I was a windows man and did not pay attention to them.

Having a home for such things would be very cool indeed.
