Sugestions on Capturing Desktop to Video File

I'm looking to make a video of XGL/Compiz to pass out to some of my chums that no longer live in the same area as me. Any sugestions on what I should be using/doing ?

use a package called instanbul. it should be in the repos. here is a description.

Or you could search YouTube for xgl/compiz. There are hundred of videos all ready made.
