Hey what happened to the glass look on the menu selection?
pre 0.10 build we would be able to have a black shiny contransted menu selection.
but now in the 0.10 , we got the curved glass but the black shiny glass now looks plain matted with no contrast appearance.
In any case i love the murrine engine, it's very clean, and the best of all the theme requires no textures to accomplish it's look, sweat !!!
this is because now the engine will use the same hilight of buttons
I dont get it. I want the bli nice desktop, so I download the Ubuntu package. Then i click it, it installs, and I enter the theme-choice in my menus. Murrine is not there??
Please help... I think the correct term for someone like me is "noob"? Someday has to be the first!
Cheers.
You have to get some themes to work with the engine. Get the theme-pack here
"The universe speaks in many languages...but only one voice"
...well, almost... My menu in the top left is not blue, it is still gray..
I'm trying to get Murrine working in Dapper on AMD 64. When I try to run the config script (./config [options] from the source directory), I get an error that tells me GTK 2.8 isn't installed.
I did an apt-get install on libgtk2.0-0 (or something like that) which, according to the Debian site, should have me at GTK 2.8. Nothing was updated so it seems 2.8 shipped with Dapper.
So I tried running the config script again and got the same error. Any ideas? Better yet, is there a DEB file for AMD 64 floating around that I just haven't found yet?
Sorry for this newbie question but after the installation of the deb package of Murrine GTK2 Cairo Engine, how do I make this Eternal Blue theme work?
I tried to drag drop to "Theme prefences" but it didn't work "Invalid format".
