Hi,
Steps to getting Murrine running
1) Install the murrine engine (which you have done by the sounds of it)
2) Download a theme from Cimi's Official Website or Gnome-Look extract the theme/s into ~/.themes
3) Download and install the Murrine Configurator then after the installation the program can be found under(in Gnome) System -> Preferences -> Murrine Configurator

Thanks so much for the screenshot post.
I have resolved all my issues finally. I figured something out..
when murrine didnt work i checked other gtk engines and found the same problem.. This didnt click at first but it made me realise that it wasnt a problem with MURRINE if every other engine was responding the same way.
Tracked down the problem.. resolved it.. and now im currently using the latest build of murrine.. glitch free.. happy.. and loving it.
Cimi.. thanks for everything.. i really appreciate the work u put into this project. Since its release i refuse to use any other engine.
Mad props.

Hello
Does anyone have a suggestion for an icon theme and background image that fits with the Murrina-Aqua controls?

Murrine 0.21 has stopped working properly after I upgraded yesterday to Edgy. When launching apps from the terminal, it says (translating from Spanish):
Appart from that, apps don't look as good as they should (Is it a problem with latest GNOME?):(gedit:6337): Gtk-WARNING **: Imposible to find theme engine in the path to «murrine» module
That's not the same .deb package with Edgy Eft.
Try "sudo apt-get remove gtk2-engines-murrine" and then, install that one instead : http://southernvaleslug.org/ubuntu/e....21-1_i386.deb
(sorry for my english )
OK, now it works like a charm, thank you very much!
Where can I find a how-to on changing themes ? I'm a bit of a newbie, and have spent a couple of hours trying to find my way around but realize now that most of these bits of advice are pretty high level and assume some prior knowlege and experience with themes.
Thank You...
