Has anyone been able to get this working on 9.10. When I start network-connect on the webpage it works (so I know it works). But with the junipernc script or CLI it doesn't work. I have to get this working with a script (so no logging into the website).
I always get the "cannot connect to IVE (error 10)"
ncapp> Failed to connect/authenticate with IVE. Error 10
Any help is welcome.
hi, I got the "Invalid Credentials" error message when I am trying to connect. The Java GUI showed the connection is to the right server, but the program never asked me about the username. It simply ask me the password for the VPN access.
the ncui.log is showing here:

I am using 64-bit 9.10, and my question is
1) how do i get the junipernc script to ask me all the question about the username, server and etc...
2) where is those volumes stored?
thanks
cocoa117, the login information is stored in a configuration file named .vpn.default.cfg in your home directory.
Hi all; I recently started a new job with juniper and I need help!!
I use this guide <http://mad-scientist.us/juniper.html>to connect with VPN , I am working on Ubuntu 9.04, 32.
when I run the Junipernc everything works fine, I added
*Network connect server
*vpn account user name
*password
*VPN service realm
and the VPN connect! but around 5 o 6 seconds falls, the diagnostic show 'ping failed' and always I can see that the NC service is 'not running' , I don't know if I need kill some process's linux.
thx for all.
regards.
i'm working on karmic 64 bit....works fine
thanks
mount and do not unmount
Hi, I've just updated the kernel on Karmic along with other packages and Juniper has failed, all I get from the GUI is "Config Failed". It happened once before but I got a new laptop and it went away until updates. Have tried most of the things in here, however I am one of those extra password people so here's the answer to your question.
I use:
Username, Password (Active Directory auth), Pin+SecureID to log into the Web interface then Network Connect launches. Have just tried to replace the ncsvc binary with a script that echo $@ to a file but it doesn't seem to work as the install and xlaunch still run. Help appreciated.
Hi - I'm also getting this "Failed to connect/authenticate with IVE. Error 10". Very frustrating
I'm on Karmic 9.10 64bit
any help much appreciated
I've also been having problems with Juniper Network Connect on Ubuntu 9.10.
It installs fine, and runs fine, and seems to connect fine (it says 'connected'). However, the vpn seems to not be working - i'm connecting to my university vpn and it can not resolve the hostname of the server i'm trying to ssh into. I thought this could be a dns problem, so checked /etc/resolv.conf and made sure all the correct nameservers were at the top (as the it department told me to do), but still nothing. Oddly the internet works perfectly (i presume this is my work connection) EXCEPT for sites on my university domain (which i guess it tries to go through the vpn for).
I've managed to find out the ip address of the server and tried to ssh directly to that, but it doesn't manage to connect and times out. On the network connect applet it constantly says 'bytes sent 0' and 'bytes received 0' so i guess there's nothing going to or from the vpn when i try to ssh.
I have tried everything in the forums and nothing works I've also tried using madscientist's code but it tells me "This program requires the program 'jar'", however this is nowhere to be seen in my package manager. I guess this is a java thing, but i have all the latest java runtime things installed.
Any help would be much appreciated!
