    Apple Switft on ubuntu

I am investigating the possibility of developing Apple Swift.
    Is there an IDE ?

I could be wrong but I think you can only do it on a Mac. Which is stupid if you ask me.

You may have to wait on IDEs. Apple's recent moves with Swift are still very much recent news. However, I have seen some Swift plugins for the Atom text editor. I'm not sure how good they'll be, but they might be worth a look.

Along with open-sourcing the language, Apple has also done work itself on building binaries for Ubuntu. Granted, I'm not sure how useful Swift is at the moment beyond Apple's ecosystem, but programming in the language on Linux should be at least semi-functional (though I haven't personally tried it myself).
