    Does anyone have pepper-flash plugin v.11.02?

    Evening,

    I'm nearly at a point where I can use Chromium (v.45) for all of my browsing needs - however the current pepper-flash version in the Ubuntu repo for 14.04 is flash 19:

    Code:
     $ sudo update-pepperflashplugin-nonfree --statusFlash Player version installed on this system : 19.0.0.245
    Flash Player version available on upstream site: 19.0.0.245
    Flash 19 works like cr*p on my system. The framerate is awful - like under 1 fps awful. In all other browsers flash 11.2 is working brilliantly.

    I see that there was once a flash 11.2 version of pepper but I can't find that version online. Does anyone have it? or alternatively know of a way I can get Chromium to use Flash 11.2?

    Update - I've tried the flash plugin from Google Chrome 27 (version 11.7) using
    Code:
    --ppapi-flash-path
    and
    Code:
    --ppapi-flash-version
    flags.

    It loads videos and shows as the correct version in the browser fine but the plugin itself doesn't work well - I think I need the binary of google chrome 20 - 23 to get v 11.2 of pepperflash.

    I would look for a solution to make Flash 19.x run better rather than trying to extract an old version out of Chrome. Any 11.x Flash you get out of Chrome will be full of security holes since it did not receive the updates that the Firefox/NPAPI 11.2.x branch did.

    Can you copy/paste the output of chrome://gpu here (please use code tags)?

    That was what my old thread essentially boiled down to - but that one stagnated - I marked it solved as I worked out how to roll back to 11.2.

    I'd love to get Flash 19 working properly but it seemed to be a system wide issue accross all browsers. 11.2 on the other hand plays videos brilliantly.

    Output from Chrome://gpu as requested:

    Re: Does anyone have pepper-flash plugin v.11.02?

    Accelerated video decode is unavailable on Linux: https://code.google.com/p/chromium/i...tail?id=137247
    ^I'm guessing that's causing the issue. It looks like you have an Atom CPU and it can't handle playback alone. Maybe you can try starting chromium like so to force GPU assist:
    Code:
    chromium --ignore-gpu-blacklist --enable-vaapi
    If it doesn't help, make sure your va-api is working correctly. vainfo should give you a list of supported profiles:
    Code:
    sudo apt-get install vainfo
    vainfo
    Other than that, I think I'm out of suggestions.

    The forced GPU assist gave me sound, and the occasional frame for video:

    vainfo just threw errors - I thought it was because it needed SU rights, but that wasn't the case:

    Code:
    $ vainfo
    libva info: VA-API version 0.35.0
    libva info: va_getDriverName() returns 0
    libva info: Trying to open /usr/lib/i386-linux-gnu/dri/i915_drv_video.so
    libva info: va_openDriver() returns -1
    vaInitialize failed with error code -1 (unknown libva error),exit

    $ sudo vainfo
    error: XDG_RUNTIME_DIR not set in the environment.
    libva info: VA-API version 0.35.0
    libva info: va_getDriverName() returns 0
    libva info: Trying to open /usr/lib/i386-linux-gnu/dri/i915_drv_video.so
    libva info: va_openDriver() returns -1
    vaInitialize failed with error code -1 (unknown libva error),exit
